Portrait and Figure Painting

The following images are from my Portrait and Figure Painting class. My professor,  Randall Cabe , is a very talented painter and I was lucky enough to be his student. We used different techniques to help us learn values, light and shadows, shape and form.Classes were 3 hours long twice a week. Some paintings took several class periods This was my  very first day  painting from a live model. . Week 1 Day 2  Used burnt umber or raw sienna to create the darks and a shop towel to create the highlights.
